About the RoleScotiabank's Global Banking & Markets division is expanding its U.S. footprint, and the Internal Audit team plays a critical role in ensuring sound governance, risk management, and control practices. As Audit Manager, you'll be part of the third line of defense, leading and executing audits focused on financial and non-financial risk across the bank's U.S. operations.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support audits across risk management functions, including operational risk, model risk, third-party risk, IT/cyber, market, credit, and liquidity risk.
- Assess control design and effectiveness, perform audit testing, and present findings to senior stakeholders.
- Act as Officer-in-Charge (OIC) for low to medium complexity audits.
- Stay ahead of emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with risk management personnel and cross-functional teams to ensure robust audit coverage.
- Maintain compliance with Scotiabank standards and IIA Code of Ethics.
- Contribute to a high-performance, inclusive culture and mentor junior team members.
What You'll Bring
- 4-6 years of experience in capital markets risk management or internal audit.
- Strong understanding of risk quantification, valuation methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, CIA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- A curiosity-driven mindset and ability to thrive in dynamic environments.

Location: Dallas, TX
Salary Range: $76,500 - $142,120 (based on experience and qualifications)
