You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities. Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo, and striving to be best-in-class.As an analyst within the Market Risk, you will be involved in overseeing market risk management for the Consumer Community Banking Home Lending Business, with focus on residential mortgages.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing monitoring, forward-looking analysis, and strategic risk management for key risk measures, including Value at Risk (VaR), Firmwide Stress, and regulatory reporting (CCAR, Risk Appetite, etc.).
- Cover trading and hedging desks to ensure adherence to limits and approved strategies.
- Conduct deep dives on relevant mortgage topics to support independent risk analysis.
- Actively contribute to and participate in risk affirmation meetings and risk committees.
- Review daily risk reports for accuracy and desk positioning.
- Test and analyze the impact of model updates.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum bachelor's degree in finance/math, business, or computer science discipline.
- Understanding of market risk metrics (delta, gamma, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of functional groups.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
- Strong in controls, project management, time management.
- Demonstrated effectiveness working independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Organized and able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and technical skills. Mortgage experience and/or market risk a plus.
