Cruser Mitchell is seeking a Litigation Paralegal looking to take their career to the next level in a firm that values your contributions and offers meaningful, hands-on work. The Los Angeles office of Cruser Mitchell, a nationally recognized litigation defense firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with at least one years of experience to join our growing team. The position is primarily an in-office position.
Responsibilities include support for attorneys in defending a wide range of litigation:
Manage case files, including document control, docket deadline calendaring, and filing.
Managing and scheduling depositions, including coordinating with counsel and witnesses, preparing notices, and arranging court reporter
Preparing, tracking and managing subpoenas, and discovery requests to third/nonparties regarding production of documents
Handle mailings and E-Filing documents, including pleadings and motions/briefs.
Assist in the preparation for depositions, including deposition and medical summaries.
Proficiency in trial preparation, document cite-checking and filing in federal and state courts.
Skilled in drafting legal documents such as motions, complaints, etc.
Ability to calendar litigation deadlines effectively.
Extensive experience in document review and production.
Familiarity with legal software.
Requirements
An experienced litigation paralegal (minimum 1 years)
Strong preference for candidates with litigation experience.
Proven initiative, self-direction, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Outlook and the MS Office suite.
